To our Customers and Partners,
With COVID-19 affecting people and communities around the world, this is a difficult time for all of us. Our hearts go out to all those who have been impacted. At a time when “business as usual” is not an option, we are 100% focused on helping each other stay healthy and assisting our customers and partners to respond and adapt in this time of crisis.
Our priority is the health and safety of our employees and those we do business with around the globe. We have taken several measures to ensure well-being, including; restricting travel, implementing a global work-from-home policy, and forming a cross-functional COVID-19 team to monitor the crisis 24 hours a day.
We have business continuity plans in place and do not currently foresee any impact on our ability to continue to deliver on our promise of uninterrupted support for your production workloads and critical systems.
We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and gather data from primary sources including the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), local public health offices, and retained consultants.
Our Employee Guidance
On March 10th, 2020, we implemented the World Health Organization’s recommendations to have employees work remotely and curtail employee travel and event attendance. We have not experienced any service interruptions, performance, availability, or security issues to date.
- Our physical offices are all currently closed, and we are asking employees to conduct all business remotely. Many of our employees are under government guidance to “shelter in place” and are not able to conduct business in person at this time.
- Our employees have been provided with the right tools and technology they need to continue to stay as productive and connected as possible. We are monitoring usage and capacity in real-time and are prepared to adjust as needed.
- Effective immediately, all of our instructor-led classes and public courses have been made virtual. And we are offering a 20% discount for virtual and on-demand training to make it more affordable for all of our customers.
Customer and Partner Continuity
We are fully prepared to serve our customers and partners, regardless of where the work is taking place. Our Business Continuity Plans have all been vetted and are ready to deploy at need. Should global conditions worsen, we are confident we can quickly respond to changing market dynamics, minimizing impacts to our business, and disruptions to customers and partners.
We are currently on track with our product roadmap and committed to delivering the next generation of our hybrid-cloud data management services on schedule.
As the situation continues to evolve, we will keep you updated on how we plan to manage and minimize the potential impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak on the products and/or services we provide for your business.
Community Outreach
We are in conversations with Ending Pandemics and other nonprofit partners of the World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control to identify ways to contribute Cloudera’s data expertise where it can make a difference.
We are also matching and encouraging Clouderan donations and virtual volunteering efforts to several global organizations battling the COVID-19 outbreak.
We encourage everyone to follow local guidelines to protect yourselves and your communities.
In closing, thank you for your trust in Cloudera. We are all in this together.
-Rob
It’s amazing how Cloudera balances its people with its business. My hat is off to you Cloudera family!
I’d like an opportunity to hear about open positions. Your workday link gave some trouble, could someone reach out?
thank you
adam
Hi Adam, Please try the careers site again as that is the best place for any of our open positions. You can also review some on our LinkedIn page.
I received an interview request via email for a remote position. States to reply back to a gmail address, is this legit?
All of our email addresses are @cloudera.com.
Hats off .. for making balance in this tough situation. I am looking for a job change
This is the most realistic CEO Covid 19 letter I’ve read yet. It actually seems genuine. Kudos Mr. Bearden and Cloudera staff…like what I see.
This situation is like in some horror movie: everything is allright, but nothing is OK.
