Meet the newest Data Superheros: The Sixth Annual Data Impact Awards Finalists Are…

Drum roll…  Starting from well over 100 nominations, we are excited to announce the finalists for this year’s Data Impact Awards! Each year, nominees have raised the bar, and this year is no exception. The level of impact that organizations have shown and the variety of use cases are inspiring. From AI models that power retail customer decision engines to utility meter analysis that disables underperforming gas turbines, these finalists demonstrate how machine learning and analytics have become mission-critical to organizations around the world.

Two weeks from today we will announce the winners at the Data Impact Awards Celebration on Tuesday, 11th September the week of Strata Data 2018, New York.

We owe a great debt to our panel of judges who provided over 600 total nomination evaluations. These thought leaders in data management and analytics represent all areas of the industry from executives and industry analysts to professors and media experts. Here’s what a few our judges had to say after reviewing and scoring nominations:

“The nominations showed highly creative, innovative ways of using data, analytics, data science and predictive methodologies to optimize processes and to provide more positive customer experiences. These finalists are an asset to their companies and to society for their impactful thinking.” – Cornelia Levy-Bencheton

“Every year, the caliber of submissions goes up many notches. However, this year, it is evident that the pace of acceleration to modern data architectures has intensified. Organizations have doubled their commitments to digital transformations. The finalists have shown tremendous innovations for new workloads across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.” – Sanjeev Mohan

“Data-driven strategies are driving change across organizations.  From revenue models to technical architectures, digital transformation is remaking the way that organizations do business.” – John Myers

“This year’s submissions demonstrate outstanding innovation in advanced data processing, and the impact can be felt throughout their organizations, their industries, and our broader society. These distinguished finalists are exemplars as data-driven enterprises.” – Bob Gourley
